Three days, three UNESCO World Heritage temples, and two nights of hotel accommodation included. This is the Chola Triangle taken slowly. The three temples — Thanjavur, Gangaikonda Cholapuram and Darasuram — plus Chidambaram, across three days instead of the single day that a determined driver could manage. What that buys you is the ability to stand still. The Big Temple in particular is not a building you take in quickly; the inscriptions run around the base in bands, the corridor of lingams is longer than photographs suggest, and the light on the vimana changes completely between morning and late afternoon. Two nights of AC hotel accommodation, in Thanjavur and Chidambaram, are inside the fare — along with the vehicle, the driver, his allowance, tolls, parking and permits. What is not included is temple entry, meals and, unless you add it, a guide. It is our longest and most expensive tour, and it is the one people who have already visited the region tend to choose.

No. Guide services are available at additional cost. For these three temples in particular a licensed guide changes the experience considerably, and we would encourage it.
Because the one-day version is mostly driving. Three UNESCO sites across the delta, plus Chidambaram, is a lot of ground; the three-day itinerary is built so each temple gets a morning or an afternoon rather than ninety minutes.

Inside 48 hours there is no refund, because the vehicle and driver are already committed to your booking. Approved refunds reach the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
3 Days 2 Nights. That is the time we plan for; temples do not run to a timetable, and a driver who hurries you through a darshan is not doing his job.
